Why KDM5C?

Genetic loss of KDM5C function is associated with a range of symptoms, which can include intellectual disability, global developmental delays, speech impairment, challenging behavior, autism, epilepsy, and more. KDM5C-related symptoms can have devastating effects on patients and their families.

Why do the KARES 5K?

This event can be accomplished anywhere! All are encouraged to gather with friends, family and supporters at your local park, neighborhood, school or other venue to support KDM5C research and families! Run, walk, roll, hop, skip, dance, bike... move however you like to raise awareness and funds!

KARES aims to raise both awareness of KDM5C genetic variants and funds to accelerate research around new targeted treatment options to improve the lives of KDM5C patients. Funds from our virtual 5K will go to the KARES research grant program and programming that directly supports patients and families affected by KDM5C genetic variants.

How can I help?
